rFactor 2 is the successor to the hugely sucessful rFactor. Only a few details have been released so far, the game is known to include improved AI, circuit specific environment maps, physically modelled bumps & dips and changeable weather effects. Furthermore, it will be quite easy for rFactor 1 mods to be converted to rFactor 2, and the same modding tools will be provided to community.

The game will enter public beta mode towards the end of 2011 / early 2012 before the official release. To play the game, you will also have to subscribe on a yearly basis at around $13/year. Several modding groups have already started work on mods ready for rFactor 2′s release, such as CTDP F1 2009, and RMT World Super GT 2. As soon as the game is released, we will be hosting mods, tracks, cars and much more here on SimRacingWorld.
